BSc (Hons) MBBS PgDip MSc RCPathME MRSB MIoL MIHSCM PVRA

Dr Kris brings more than 12 years of clinical experience and a deep understanding of skin biology to every Sunekos treatment at Kriniko Medical Aesthetics. Regenerative injectables work with your own cells, so the plan matters as much as the product: Dr Kris assesses your skin before recommending a formulation, depth and course length.

  • Advanced aesthetic training completed in London, with ongoing professional development in regenerative injectables, skin science and complication management.
  • Membership of the International Association for Applied Corneotherapy, reflecting a clinical focus on skin barrier health rather than surface-level results alone.
  • Every patient has a face-to-face medical consultation with Dr Kris before treatment, and a doctor is present throughout your appointment.
Is This Right For You?

Concerns Sunekos Can Treat

Sunekos is designed for skin that has lost quality rather than volume. If your face looks tired and dull even when you feel well rested, this is often the treatment behind the change.

Why Patients Choose This Treatment

The Benefits of Sunekos

  • Builds collagen and elastinOne of very few injectables shown to stimulate new elastin as well as collagen, which is what gives skin its bounce.
  • Improves skin, not shapeSunekos regenerates the skin's own support structure without adding volume, so your features stay exactly as they are.
  • Safe in delicate areasThin, fragile skin under the eyes and on the neck responds particularly well, where fillers often aren't appropriate.
  • Deep, lasting hydrationHyaluronic acid draws water into the dermis while amino acids rebuild the matrix that holds it there.
  • Minimal downtimeSmall injection points settle within a day or two, so most patients return to normal life straight away.

The Kriniko Difference

Better Skin, Not a Different Face

Sunekos won't change your proportions or give you a treated look. It rebuilds the quality of the skin itself, which is why it suits patients who want to look well rather than obviously worked on.

Diagnosis before product

Dullness, crepiness and hollowing have different causes. Dr Kris identifies what's actually driving the change before recommending Sunekos, a filler or something else entirely.

A full course, properly spaced

Sunekos works cumulatively. Dr Kris plans a complete course at the right intervals rather than selling single sessions that can't deliver the biological result.

Part of a wider skin plan

Sunekos pairs well with polynucleotides, microneedling, Profhilo and medical skincare. Dr Kris will advise where it fits alongside what you already use.

Find Your Sunekos Treatment in Cambridge

From tired under-eyes to a crepey neck, Dr Kris tailors the Sunekos formulation, injection depth and course length to the area being treated.

Sunekos Under Eyes Cambridge

The skin beneath the eyes is the thinnest on the body, and it's often the first place to look tired. Sunekos treats the cause directly by rebuilding the collagen and elastin in that skin, improving crepiness, fine lines and the shadowing that makes dark circles look deeper.

Because Sunekos adds no volume, it's a useful option where tear trough filler isn't suitable, or where previous filler has left the area looking puffy. Dr Kris uses a fine needle technique with a series of shallow injection points, and results build across the course.

Full-Face Sunekos

A full-face course targets overall skin quality: hydration, tone, firmness and the fine surface lines that make a complexion look tired. Rather than treating one feature, the injections are distributed across the face to regenerate the extracellular matrix throughout the dermis.

This is a good starting point if you're not ready for fillers or anti-wrinkle injections, or if you've had them and want the skin itself to look better. Many patients notice their make-up sits more smoothly and their skin holds moisture for longer.

Neck, Décolletage & Hands

The neck, chest and hands age faster than the face and are often neglected. The skin there is thin, has fewer oil glands and takes years of sun exposure, which shows as crepiness, horizontal lines and a loss of firmness.

Sunekos suits these areas precisely because it thickens and strengthens skin without adding bulk. On the hands, improved skin quality softens the appearance of prominent veins and tendons. Dr Kris will advise whether Sunekos alone or a combined plan will serve you better.

Your Treatment Journey

What to expect, step by step

Knowing what happens before, during and after your Sunekos appointment helps you feel at ease and set realistic expectations for a course-based treatment.

01

Medical consultation

Dr Kris reviews your medical history, assesses your skin quality and discusses your goals. You'll receive a clear plan covering which formulation suits you, how many sessions you need and what to expect at each stage.

02

Your Sunekos sessions

Numbing cream is applied first. Sunekos is placed into the skin through a series of small injection points using a fine needle or cannula. Each session takes around 30 minutes, with a course typically run over several appointments.

03

Aftercare & review

Small bumps and mild redness usually settle within 24 hours. Avoid make-up, exercise, heat and rubbing the area for the first day. Dr Kris reviews your progress through the course and plans maintenance.

Sunekos Results

Stronger Skin, Built Gradually

Hydration often improves within the first couple of weeks, while collagen and elastin changes build across the course. Results typically last around six months, with maintenance sessions recommended thereafter.

Brighter under-eyes

Less crepiness and softer shadowing.

Firmer skin

Improved tone from new elastin.

Smoother texture

Fine lines and roughness reduced.

Lasting hydration

Moisture held in the dermis, not just the surface.

Natural appearance

No volume added, no treated look.

How does Sunekos work?
Sunekos is a patented injectable that combines non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid with a precise blend of six amino acids: glycine, L-proline, L-leucine, L-lysine, L-valine and L-alanine. These amino acids are the raw building blocks your body uses to make collagen and elastin. When injected into the dermis, they stimulate fibroblasts, the cells responsible for maintaining skin structure, to regenerate the extracellular matrix, which is the supportive scaffolding that surrounds and nourishes your skin cells. This is what sets Sunekos apart from a dermal filler: a filler occupies space to create volume, whereas Sunekos prompts your own skin to rebuild its structure, producing new collagen and new elastin in proportions close to those found naturally in healthy skin. Because it isn't cross-linked, it doesn't sit in the tissue as a gel or change your facial shape. Different formulations exist for different needs, from lighter preparations for early ageing and delicate areas to more intensive options for deeper lines and laxity, and Dr Kris will select the right one at your consultation. Suitability is always confirmed at your medical consultation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Your Sunekos Questions, Answered

How many Sunekos sessions will I need?
Most patients have a course of around four sessions, spaced roughly one to three weeks apart depending on the formulation and the area being treated. Sunekos works cumulatively, so a full course is important. Dr Kris will confirm your exact plan at consultation and recommend maintenance sessions afterwards.
How long do Sunekos results last?
Results from a completed course typically last around six months. Because Sunekos stimulates your own collagen and elastin rather than sitting in the tissue, the improvement fades gradually as normal ageing continues. Most patients return for maintenance every four to seven months to hold their results.
What's the difference between Sunekos and dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers are cross-linked gels that occupy space, adding volume and structure to areas such as the cheeks, lips and jawline. Sunekos is not cross-linked and adds no volume. It delivers hyaluronic acid alongside amino acids to stimulate your skin to rebuild its own collagen and elastin, improving the quality and thickness of the skin itself. Fillers change shape; Sunekos changes skin.
Sunekos or Profhilo: which is better for me?
Both are injectable skin treatments rather than fillers, but they work differently. Profhilo uses pure hyaluronic acid at high concentration, spreading beneath the skin to hydrate and improve laxity. Sunekos adds amino acids, which target collagen and elastin production more directly and allow safe treatment of very delicate areas such as under the eyes. Dr Kris will recommend one, the other, or a combination based on your skin.
Does Sunekos hurt?
Most patients find it very manageable. Numbing cream is applied beforehand, and the injections are small and superficial. You may feel brief stinging as the product is placed, particularly around the eyes, and small raised bumps are normal immediately afterwards.
What is the downtime after Sunekos?
Downtime is minimal. Expect small bumps at the injection points, mild redness and occasionally light bruising, which usually settle within 24 to 48 hours. Avoid make-up, exercise, saunas and rubbing the area for the first day. Most patients arrange treatment with a free evening rather than time off work.
Can Sunekos be used under the eyes?
Yes, and it's one of the most requested areas. Sunekos improves the quality of thin under-eye skin, softening crepiness and fine lines and reducing the shadowing that deepens dark circles. It adds no volume, which makes it appropriate where tear trough filler would risk puffiness. Dr Kris will assess whether your under-eye concern is a skin quality issue, a volume issue, or both.
Who is not suitable for Sunekos?
Sunekos is only offered to adults aged 18 and over. Treatment isn't suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, where there is active skin infection or inflammation in the area, or for people with certain autoimmune conditions or a known allergy to the ingredients. Some medications may also affect suitability, so your full medical history is reviewed before any treatment is offered.
