The Kriniko Difference

Regeneration, Not Just Correction

The best skin results come from improving how your skin functions, not just how it looks on the surface. Dr Kris uses exosomes to support the skin's own renewal, so you look healthier, fresher and entirely like yourself.

Skin-first assessment

Your skin type, texture, tone and sensitivity are assessed carefully, so exosome treatment is matched to your skin's real needs rather than a set menu.

Honest, realistic results

Exosomes improve skin gradually and subtly. Dr Kris sets clear expectations from the start and recommends a course only when it's likely to help.

Complete skin strategy

Exosomes improve skin quality. For volume or expression lines, Dr Kris can combine them with dermal fillers, anti-wrinkle injections or polynucleotides.

Exosomes with Microneedling Cambridge

Our most popular exosome treatment combines medical microneedling with a concentrated exosome solution. Microneedling creates tiny, controlled channels in the skin, triggering its natural healing response and allowing the exosomes to reach deeper layers.

Together, they help refine texture, soften fine lines, reduce the look of pores and mild scarring, and restore a healthy glow. A course of treatments usually gives the best results, with improvements building over the following weeks.

Under-Eye Revitalisation

The skin around the eyes is thin and delicate, and is often the first place to show fine lines, crepiness and a tired, shadowed look. Exosome treatment can help improve skin quality in this area without adding volume.

Using a gentle, carefully controlled approach suited to this delicate area, Dr Kris can help smooth crepey texture and brighten tired-looking skin. It's a popular choice for both women and men, and pairs well with polynucleotides for deeper under-eye concerns.

Skin Recovery Boost

Exosomes can be added to other skin treatments, such as microneedling and chemical peels, to help calm the skin, reduce redness and support faster, more comfortable recovery.

This makes them a valuable addition for patients with sensitive or reactive skin, or anyone who wants to get more from their existing skin plan. Dr Kris will advise on whether an exosome boost suits the treatments you're having.

How do exosomes work?
Exosomes are tiny vesicles, far smaller than a cell, that cells release to communicate with one another. Each exosome carries a cargo of proteins, lipids, growth factors and genetic messages such as microRNA, which can influence how neighbouring cells behave. In skincare, exosomes are used to deliver signals associated with repair, collagen production and calming inflammation. When applied straight after microneedling, the tiny channels created in the skin allow the exosomes to reach deeper layers, where they may support the skin's own healing and renewal response. Research into exosomes in aesthetics is promising but still developing, so Dr Kris will give you a realistic view of the results you can expect. Suitability is always confirmed at your medical consultation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Your Exosome Questions, Answered

What are exosomes?
Exosomes are tiny vesicles released by cells to carry messages to other cells. They contain proteins, lipids, growth factors and genetic material such as microRNA. In aesthetic medicine, exosome products are applied to the skin to deliver signals linked to repair, renewal and calming inflammation, helping to improve overall skin quality.
How many exosome treatments will I need?
Most patients benefit from a course of around three treatments, spaced four to six weeks apart, followed by maintenance sessions every six to twelve months. Dr Kris will recommend a plan based on your skin, your concerns and the results you'd like to achieve.
Is there any downtime after exosome treatment?
Downtime is minimal. When exosomes are combined with microneedling, you can expect some redness and mild sensitivity, similar to mild sunburn, which usually settles within 24 to 48 hours. Many patients find their skin recovers faster than after microneedling alone.
Does exosome treatment hurt?
Most patients find treatment very comfortable. Numbing cream is applied before microneedling, so you'll usually feel only a light vibrating or scratching sensation. The exosome solution itself is soothing to apply.
When will I see results from exosomes?
Many patients notice brighter, fresher-looking skin within a week. Improvements in texture, fine lines and firmness build gradually over the following weeks as the skin renews, with the best results typically seen after completing a course.
Are exosome treatments safe?
When carried out by a medically qualified practitioner using professional products, exosome treatment is generally well tolerated, with temporary redness the most common side effect. Research in aesthetics is still developing, so Dr Kris uses only products from reputable manufacturers, applies them to the skin rather than injecting them, and explains the benefits and limitations honestly at your consultation.
What's the difference between exosomes, PRP and polynucleotides?
All three are regenerative treatments that aim to improve skin quality. PRP uses growth factors from your own blood, polynucleotides are injected to support repair and hydration, and exosomes deliver cell-to-cell signals, usually applied alongside microneedling. Dr Kris will advise which option, or combination, suits your skin best.
Who is not suitable for exosome treatment?
Exosome treatment is only offered to adults aged 18 and over. It isn't suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, where there is active infection, a cold sore, active acne breakout or broken skin in the area, or for people with certain skin conditions or a history of skin cancer. Some medications may also affect suitability, so your full medical history is reviewed before any treatment is offered.
