Meet Dr Kris: Your Cambridge NCTF® Doctor

BSc (Hons) MBBS PgDip MSc RCPathME MRSB MIoL MIHSCM PVRA

Dr Kris brings more than 12 years of clinical experience and a working knowledge of skin biology to every NCTF® treatment at Kriniko Medical Aesthetics. Because skin revitalisation is about the health of the tissue rather than its shape, treatment starts with understanding what your skin is actually short of.

  • Every plan begins with a skin assessment, so NCTF® is recommended only where hydration, texture and radiance are the genuine concern.
  • Advanced aesthetic training completed in London, with continuing professional development in mesotherapy technique, skin health and complication management.
  • Membership of the International Association for Applied Corneotherapy, reflecting a barrier-first, skin-health-led approach rather than a purely cosmetic one.
  • Every patient has a face-to-face medical consultation with Dr Kris before treatment, and a doctor is present throughout your appointment.
Is This Right For You?

The Kriniko Difference

Better Skin, Not A Different Face

NCTF® is the treatment for patients who like their features and simply want their skin to look healthier. Dr Kris treats it as part of a wider skin plan rather than a one-off appointment.

Diagnosis before injection

Dull skin can come from dehydration, barrier damage, pigment or sun damage. Your skin is assessed first so NCTF® is used where it will genuinely help.

A course, not a quick fix

Revitalisation is cumulative. Dr Kris recommends an initial course of sessions and a realistic maintenance plan, and will say so if your skin does not need one.

Combined where it counts

NCTF® pairs well with microneedling, polynucleotides, Profhilo or a considered skincare routine. Dr Kris advises on sequencing so treatments build on each other.

Woman with bright, healthy facial skin after NCTF mesotherapy treatment in Cambridge

NCTF® 135 HA for the Face

The most requested NCTF® treatment in Cambridge. A series of tiny micro-injections places the polyrevitalising solution across the face, targeting dullness, dehydration, fine crepey lines and skin that has lost its bounce.

Because the hyaluronic acid in NCTF® is non-cross-linked, it hydrates and diffuses rather than holding a shape, which is why it can be used across delicate areas including the under-eyes and around the mouth where skin is thin and often the first to look tired.

Glow & radiance Fine lines & texture Under-eye skin quality

Neck, Décolletage & Hand Revitalisation

The neck, chest and hands have thinner skin, fewer oil glands and years of sun exposure, so they often look older than the face even when facial treatments have gone well. These areas respond particularly well to revitalisation.

NCTF® is used to improve hydration, smooth crepey texture and restore some density to skin that has thinned. Hands in particular benefit, as better skin quality softens the papery look that makes tendons and veins more obvious.

NCTF® Courses & Combination Plans

NCTF® works best as a course. A typical starting protocol is three sessions spaced around two to three weeks apart, with top-ups roughly every three to six months depending on your skin, age and lifestyle.

Dr Kris also uses NCTF® alongside other treatments, for example after microneedling to support healing and glow, or as the skin-quality layer beneath anti-wrinkle injections or dermal fillers. Your plan is set out clearly, with costs and timings, before anything goes ahead.

Your Treatment Journey

What to expect, step by step

Knowing what happens before, during and after your NCTF® appointment helps you feel at ease and plan around it sensibly.

01

Medical consultation

Dr Kris reviews your medical history, assesses your skin and discusses your goals. You will receive a clear plan, including how many sessions your skin is likely to need, and time to consider it.

02

The NCTF® treatment

Numbing cream is applied first. The solution is then delivered through a series of very fine micro-injections across the treatment area. Most appointments take around 30 minutes.

03

Aftercare & review

Expect small raised bumps and some redness for a few hours to a day. Avoid make-up, exercise, heat and sun for 24 hours. Your progress is reviewed as the course goes on.

How does FILLMED NCTF® 135 HA work?
NCTF® stands for New Cellular Treatment Factor, a polyrevitalising solution developed by the French laboratory FILLMED. The 135 HA version combines free, non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid with a complex of more than fifty active ingredients, including vitamins, amino acids, minerals, coenzymes, nucleic acids and antioxidants. Rather than sitting on the surface like a serum, it is delivered by mesotherapy: a series of superficial micro-injections that place the solution directly into the dermis. This is the layer where fibroblasts produce collagen and elastin, and where hyaluronic acid does its work holding water within the tissue. The aim is to improve the skin’s environment so it functions better, which shows up as hydration, radiance, smoother texture and improved firmness. Because the hyaluronic acid is not cross-linked, it does not create volume or structure in the way a dermal filler does, and it is gradually absorbed, which is why treatment is given as a course with periodic maintenance. Individual results vary, and suitability is always confirmed at your medical consultation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Your NCTF® Questions, Answered

How many NCTF® sessions will I need?
Most patients start with a course of three sessions spaced around two to three weeks apart, then maintain results every three to six months. Skin that is very dehydrated or sun-damaged may benefit from more sessions in the initial course. Dr Kris will recommend a realistic plan at your consultation rather than a fixed package.
When will I see results from NCTF®?
Many patients notice improved hydration and a brighter look within about a week of the first session. Changes in texture and firmness build gradually across the course and continue for several weeks afterwards, as the skin responds. Results vary between individuals and depend on your starting skin quality, age and lifestyle.
Does NCTF® hurt?
Numbing cream is applied before treatment and most patients describe it as very manageable. You will feel a series of small, quick pinpricks as the solution is placed. The forehead, under-eye area and neck tend to be more sensitive than the cheeks.
What is the downtime after NCTF®?
Expect small raised bumps at each injection point, along with redness and occasional pinpoint bruising. The bumps usually settle within a few hours and almost always by 24 hours, though bruising can take a few days. It is sensible to book at least a day before an important event, and ideally a week if you bruise easily.
Is NCTF® the same as a dermal filler?
No. Dermal fillers use cross-linked hyaluronic acid to add volume and structure, lifting cheeks or defining a jawline. NCTF® uses free, non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid with a nutrient complex to improve skin quality. It does not change your facial shape. Many patients have both, treating structure and skin health separately.
How does NCTF® compare with Profhilo or polynucleotides?
All three improve skin quality rather than volume, but they work differently. Profhilo uses a high concentration of hyaluronic acid in a few precise points, mainly for hydration and laxity. Polynucleotides focus on repair and regeneration, and are often chosen for delicate or damaged skin. NCTF® delivers hyaluronic acid together with a broad nutrient complex across the whole treatment area. Dr Kris will explain which suits your skin, and they are sometimes used in sequence.
Who is not suitable for NCTF® skin revitalisation?
NCTF® is only offered to adults aged 18 and over. Treatment is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, where there is active infection, inflamed acne or a cold sore in the treatment area, or for people with certain autoimmune conditions, bleeding disorders or known allergies to the ingredients. Some medications also affect suitability, so your full medical history is reviewed before any treatment is offered.
