Dr Kris brings more than 12 years of clinical experience and an in-depth knowledge of facial anatomy to every dermal filler treatment at Kriniko Medical Aesthetics, so each placement is chosen to support your natural structure rather than simply add volume.

The Kriniko Difference

Enhanced, Never Overfilled

The best dermal filler results are the ones nobody can spot. Dr Kris focuses on restoring structure and balance, using only the amount of product your face genuinely needs, so you look refreshed and like yourself.

Whole-face planning

Your face is assessed at rest and in movement, from the front and in profile, so filler supports your natural contours rather than distorting them.

A measured, gradual approach

Dr Kris favours building results carefully. If more volume is needed, it can be added at review, which is far better than starting with too much.

Complete skin strategy

Fillers restore volume. For fine lines or skin quality, Dr Kris can combine them with anti-wrinkle injections or regenerative treatments such as polynucleotides.

Find Your Dermal Filler Treatment in Cambridge

Whether you'd like softer, fuller lips, lifted cheeks or a more defined jawline, Dr Kris creates a personalised plan for subtle, balanced results.

Profile of naturally defined lips, a popular lip filler treatment in Cambridge

Lip Fillers Cambridge

Lip filler can add gentle volume, improve shape and definition, correct asymmetry and rehydrate lips that have thinned with age. Treatment is tailored to your lip anatomy and the look you want, from a barely-there refresh to a more noticeable enhancement.

Dr Kris uses soft, flexible hyaluronic acid fillers that move naturally when you talk and smile. Treatment can also smooth fine lip lines around the mouth, and a light first treatment can be built on at review.

Cheek & Mid-Face Fillers

As we age, the cheeks lose volume and descend, which can make the face look tired and deepen the lines running from the nose to the mouth. Cheek filler restores this support, creating a subtle lift across the mid-face.

By treating the underlying cause of sagging rather than filling every line directly, Dr Kris can soften nasolabial folds and marionette lines while keeping results natural. Cheek fillers can also add contour and definition to naturally flatter cheekbones.

Defined male jawline and chin, a popular dermal filler treatment area for men

Chin & Jawline Fillers

Chin and jawline filler can sharpen a soft jaw, improve the balance of your profile and project a recessed chin, a popular non-surgical treatment for both women and men.

Using a firmer filler designed to hold its shape, Dr Kris can create a crisper jawline, reduce the appearance of early jowling and bring the lower face into proportion with your nose and lips. Treatment is planned carefully to suit masculine or feminine facial features.

Your Treatment Journey

What to expect, step by step

Knowing what happens before, during and after your dermal filler appointment helps you feel at ease and set realistic expectations.

01

Medical consultation

Dr Kris reviews your medical history, assesses your facial structure and discusses your goals. You'll receive a clear, personalised plan and time to consider it before going ahead.

02

The filler treatment

Numbing cream is applied, and most fillers also contain local anaesthetic for comfort. Filler is placed with a fine needle or cannula. Treatment usually takes 30–45 minutes.

03

Aftercare & review

Some swelling and tenderness is normal for a few days. Avoid exercise, alcohol, heat and pressure on the area for 24–48 hours. Your two-week review allows any fine-tuning.

How do dermal fillers work?
Dermal fillers are gels made from hyaluronic acid, a sugar molecule found naturally in your skin that holds water and helps keep tissue plump and supported. With age, the body produces less hyaluronic acid and collagen, and facial fat pads shrink and shift, leading to hollowing, folds and a loss of definition. When filler is injected into specific layers of the face, it replaces this lost volume and provides structural support. Different fillers vary in firmness: softer gels suit the lips and fine lines, while firmer gels are used to lift the cheeks and define the jaw. The body gradually breaks the filler down over time, and hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase if ever needed. Suitability is always confirmed at your medical consultation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Your Dermal Filler Questions, Answered

How long do dermal fillers last?
Most dermal fillers last between 6 and 18 months. Lip fillers usually last around 6 to 12 months, as the lips move constantly, while cheek, chin and jawline fillers often last 12 to 18 months. Your metabolism, lifestyle and the product used all play a part, and Dr Kris will recommend a maintenance plan that suits you.
Do dermal fillers hurt?
Most patients find treatment very comfortable. Numbing cream is applied beforehand, and most fillers contain a local anaesthetic that numbs the area as treatment progresses. You may feel some pressure or a brief sting, and the lips tend to be the most sensitive area.
What are the side effects of dermal fillers?
Common side effects include swelling, redness, tenderness and bruising at the treatment site, which usually settle within a few days to a week. Rarer but serious complications, such as filler blocking a blood vessel, can occur, which is why choosing a medically qualified practitioner matters. Dr Kris explains all risks in full at your consultation and the clinic is fully prepared to manage complications.
Can dermal fillers be dissolved?
Yes. Hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved using an enzyme called hyaluronidase. This is used if a result needs correcting or, rarely, in the management of a complication. Dr Kris uses hyaluronic acid fillers so that treatment is reversible.
Will I look overfilled?
Not with a careful, doctor-led approach. Dr Kris plans treatment around the balance of your whole face and uses only as much filler as you need. If you're new to fillers, a conservative first treatment can be topped up at review.
What's the difference between dermal fillers and anti-wrinkle injections?
Dermal fillers add volume and structure, restoring hollows, softening deep folds and defining features such as the lips, cheeks and jawline. Anti-wrinkle injections relax the muscles that cause expression lines, such as forehead lines and crow's feet. Many patients benefit from one or the other, or a combination, and Dr Kris will advise on the right approach for you.
Who is not suitable for dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers are only offered to adults aged 18 and over. Treatment isn't suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, where there is active infection or a cold sore in the area, or for people with certain autoimmune conditions or allergies to filler ingredients. Some medications may also affect suitability, so your full medical history is reviewed before any treatment is offered.
